We always want to keep fit and look good, right? Many times in spite of following the diet strictly, doing the exercises, and drinking enough water, is just not enough to lose the pounds as fast as we love.
The reasons for this slowness may have different origins. But the most common causes of not losing weight are fluid retention and a slow metabolism. Fortunately, there are secrets that help us overcome these obstacles and reach our goal of weight, as is the Ginger Water. Keep reading and discover it:
How Does Ginger Water Work?
Our bodies are composed of 80% water. Consuming it properly helps us digest food better, allows us to activate the kidneys and eliminate toxins from the body. If these toxins aren’t wasted, they end up becoming fat, which usually accumulates in our waist, back, and thighs.
As soon as the water reaches our stomachs, it begins to work. It allows the digestive system to move smoothly, helping to speed up our metabolism. If we add something to the water that boosts the effect, the result is more than promising. This’s where the second protagonist of this formula enters: Ginger. Let’s see what properties this ingredient has, which makes this combination a winner:
Regulates the level of sugar
One of the properties of ginger water is to allow us to regulate the sugar levels. According to the National Library of Medicine on the National Institute for Health NCBI “In a recent 2015 study of 41 participants with type 2 diabetes, 2 grams of ginger powder per day lowered fasting blood sugar by 12%. […] It also dramatically improved HbA1c (a marker for long-term blood sugar levels), leading to a 10% reduction over a period of 12 weeks.”
The different components of this tuber favor the creation of gastric juices. It also contains a lot of fiber, which simplifies the work of the organs. Once again the NCBI states “In a study of 24 healthy individuals, 1.2 grams of ginger powder before a meal accelerated emptying of the stomach by 50%.”
Increase Body Heat
One of the elements of ginger is Capsaicin. This makes ginger a thermogenic ingredient. This type of food increases body heat, and the organism must do some extra metabolic work in order to stabilize again. The presence of this element (and other benefits) was reported by the prestigious Medical News Today MNT “Other anti-inflammatory and antioxidant compounds found in ginger that that are beneficial to health include gingerols, beta-carotene, capsaicin, caffeic acid, curcumin and salicylate.”
The Antioxidant Power
This’s the most remarkable feature. according to MNT again “Scientific analysis shows that ginger contains hundreds of compounds and metabolites, (…) the gingerols and shogaols have been most extensively researched.”
The toxins that remain in the body end up turning into fat, and usually accumulates in our waist, back, and thighs. With the antioxidant power of ginger, all those toxins are eliminated, preventing their undesirable accumulation.
How to prepare ginger water
Simply place 50gr of grated ginger (you can use ginger powder too) in a pot with 35–50 oz of pure water. Then bring the pot to the fire until it boils for 15 minutes. Remove from heat and let it get cool. You can add lemon to your will.
You must consume the water daily. Be patient, the true results of this treatment are observed in the medium and long-term (Do it for at least 6 months). It’s good to consume it before meals, and else, as much as you want.
